The most beautiful restaurant in Idaho? It’s in a hot destination town for Boise residents
The Gem State is known for its many natural beauties, but what about the most beautiful restaurant? Fortunately, a new national ranking has the answer.
To celebrate People magazine’s 50th anniversary, the outlet partnered with online restaurant reservation site OpenTable to release the “50 most beautiful restaurants in America.”
The list includes one restaurant from each state, and Idaho’s inclusion is located in a favorite weekend vacation spot for Boise residents. The Narrows Steakhouse in McCall on the banks of Payette Lake was selected as Idaho’s most beautiful restaurant.
“Old-school steakhouse meets modern design with floor-to-ceiling windows framing Payette Lake and Salmon River Mountain,” the ranking notes.
The Narrows Steakhouse is part of Shore Lodge, a lakeside resort that also includes a golf course, spa, and overnight accommodations. It’s about a 2 hour and 15 minute drive from Boise.
According to the restaurant’s website, it offers over 450 types of wine, and won the Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence in 2022 and 2023.
The main menu naturally highlights multiple cuts of steak, including tenderloin, rib-eye, and New York strip. Non-steak lovers can also dig into various fish options, such as salmon and lobster. There’s also a kid’s menu that includes a filet of beef, grilled chicken breast, and a simple grilled cheese with fries.
The Narrows Steakhouse is located at 501 W. Lake St. along Payette Lake’s southern edge.
