Wine enthusiasts should definitely mark March 1 on their calendars. That’s when tickets go on sale (starting at 10 a.m.) for Savor Idaho. Billed as “Idaho’s premier wine and food event,” this year’s gathering will take place on June 10 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Idaho Botanical Garden, 2355 N. Old Penitentiary Road. But keep in mind, only 900 tickets get sold for the annual event and it always sells out well in advance. So, consider this an early reminder.
Once again, dozens of Idaho wineries and cideries will come together for an afternoon of celebrating the Gem State’s burgeoning wine industry. Participating wineries include Koenig Vineyards, Potter Wines, Hells Canyon Winery, Telaya Wine Company, Sawtooth Winery, Colter’s Creek Winery and more.
A multitude of local restaurants, bakeries and caterers will be strutting their stuff by offering small noshes of wine-friendly food. This year’s culinary lineup includes Zee’s Rooftop Café, Kanak Attack, Amaru Confections and Nothing Bundt Cakes, to name a few.
General admission tickets cost $55 ($57.92 with service fee), and that includes a commemorative wine glass so you can work your way around the scenic grounds and taste wines at the various winery booths. VIP tickets cost $75 ($78.62 with service fee), which lets you into the event at 1 p.m. — an hour earlier than everyone else.
