Cow? Pizza? Eagle subdivision? Apparently.
United Dairymen of Idaho and Smoky Mountain Pizzeria Grill came up with a charmingly bovine way to promote Idaho cheese: getting Eagle High student and FFA member Kayla Shubert and her black and white Holstein named Lola, to help deliver pizzas to unsuspecting folks on Friday evening.
Why now? Turns out October is National Pizza Month and Smoky Mountain makes a point of using Idaho cheese exclusively in the three-cheese blend that tops their pizzas.
Idaho is the third-largest dairy-producing state in the U.S. Dairy products are Idaho’s leading agricultural commodity.
