Some dogs love to be the center of attention, while others prefer to do their own thing, quietly appearing only when they're ready for attention. But some dogs want to be the focus all the time, so much so that even when they're not, they make sure they are.

In this video, we meet a Golden Retriever who's a "stage 5 clinger," and his mom spots him where none of us would have expected to see him. Take a look!

Queen of Disaster - ella

Shared by Alaina Hancock (@alainahancock), the TikTok video shows an everyday happening at her house that's hilarious thanks to her ability to spot something hiding in the distance.

Henry, Alaina's Golden Retriever, is in the house while she's filming from the car, and he's hidden enough that we likely wouldn't see him if it weren't for the slow zoom-in on his eyeballs through the window. He's a "stage 5 clinger," and he's not sure why his mom is in the car without him.

In the comments, people giggle at how funny this clingy Henry is being, and how you can always see him looking, even if you have to sort of look for him first.

One person wrote, "I have two dogs like this. They know exactly what they are doing and make me feel guilty." Henry's mom replied, "So bad."

Another shared, "The look of where you're going," along with very appropriate laughing emojis. Henry's mom replied, pretending to answer as the pup, writing, "Did I give you permission to leave without me?"

Someone else added, "Stop," to which Henry's mom replied, "It's even worse that I've just got in the car."

Why Some Dogs Follow Their Parents Everywhere

Henry is such a silly guy in this video, and it's so hard not to just laugh at his face, which looks shocked, sad, and upset all at the same time, because his mom is going somewhere without him. He seems to love following her everywhere, and according to experts, some dogs are just like that.

PetMD explains that some dogs love to follow their humans around everywhere they go because of their instincts and boredom. The site explains that throughout history, dogs have been pack animals, which means they like to move and hang in groups, and when they don't have other pups around to do that with, well, the pack becomes you.

Since canines are social animals, they love being around others, including you. If they're a little bored or hoping to convince you to give them an extra treat, they might take to following you around and learning your routine-they want to see what you're up to as well.

In the case of silly Henry, the Golden Retriever, that means he's off staring at his mama when he's not invited along with whatever routine she's doing; that's part of his charm.
