AEW Double or Nothing 2026 Predictions

All Elite Wrestling is set to run Double or Nothing, its third pay-per-view event of 2026, this Sunday, May 24, at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York. The nine-match main card will be preceded by a free Buy In preshow that includes Divine Dominion facing Zayda Steel and Viva Van, the Death Riders taking on The Opps, and a 10-man tag match with Boom & Doom joining The Conglomeration to face Shane Taylor Promotions.

I won't be breaking down the preshow matches, but I'll say Steel and Van last the five minutes needed to earn a future title match, Big Boom! gets the pin for his side, and the Death Riders beat The Opps.

For the main PPV, here are my predictions:

Chris Jericho, The Hurt Syndicate, The Young Bucks, Jack Perry, and Kenny Omega vs. The Demand, The Dogs, Mark Davis, and Andrade El Idolo in a Stadium Stampede Match

This is an odd match to me in any number of ways. It feels slapped together just to give a bunch of people something to do-in particular, I don't think this is a good use of Kenny Omega-as none of these feuds warrant a match that promises to be bloody. Despite a shaky build, I'm sure it'll be a spectacle with several crazy spots in it. The face side has the bigger names. They win. Winners: Jericho, Hurt Syndicate, Young Bucks, Jack Perry, and Omega

Athena vs. Mina Shirakawa

This Owen Hart Cup quarterfinal was shifted onto the PPV when Willow Nightingale got injured. The tournament winner gets a title shot at All In: London. Athena has done most of her work in Ring of Honor, while Shirakawa has been a regular on Dynamite as part of the Toni Storm attacker storyline. Shirakawa advances. Winner: Mina Shirakawa

Jon Moxley (C) vs. Kyle O'Reilly: AEW Continental Championship Match

These two have shown tremendous chemistry with a unique, grounded style in the ring. O'Reilly tapped out Moxley twice last year, and they went to a draw on this week's Dynamite. The story, though, is that Mox didn't tap. His character is currently among the more interesting in wrestling. I don't see AEW taking the title off him. Winner: Jon Moxley

Bandido vs. Swerve Strickland

The first of two Owen Hart Cup matches on the men's side, Strickland and Bandido have had a decent secondary feud recently. Looking at the brackets, it sure feels like AEW is building toward a final between Strickland and Will Ospreay. One possible curveball would be to set up a match between Bandido and sometimes tag team partner Brody King in the semifinals, but I think a renewal of the Strickland-King rivalry is more likely. Winner: Swerve Strickland

Thekla (C) vs. Kris Statlander vs. Hikaru Shida vs. Jamie Hayter: AEW Women's World Championship Match

Without Toni Storm and Mercedes Mone, the women's division in AEW has lacked focus recently, leading to a four-way match with minimal storyline. Statlander, Shida, and Hayter are all former champs at least, providing some level of star power. Unless the direction is Hayter vs. Alex Windsor at Wembley, I don't see a reason to switch the title. Winner: Thekla

Kazuchika Okada (C) vs. Konosuke Takeshita: AEW International Championship Match

This is my most anticipated match on a card full of potentially great matches. The feud between Okada and Takeshita has been simmering for months now with AEW positioning Takeshita as someone who wants to win "the right way." Although the idea of elevating Takeshita here is tempting, I believe Okada retains through nefarious means. Winner: Kazuchika Okada

Will Ospreay vs. Samoa Joe

As with Strickland-Bandido, this is another Owen Hart Cup matchup. Ospreay's indoctrination into the Death Riders is arguably the best storyline on AEW TV, and Sunday is the first step on his journey to capturing the AEW World Championship at Wembley Stadium. Winner: Will Ospreay

FTR (C) vs. Adam Copeland and Christian Cage: AEW World Tag Team Championship Match

This is an "I Quit" match with the added stipulation that if Cope and Cage lose, they can never wrestle as a tag team again. I was surprised when FTR won at Dynasty in Canada. I'd be stunned if they retained here, and AEW bypassed the opportunity to do Cope and Cage versus the Bucks and perhaps even The New Day later in 2026. Winners: Cope and Cage

Darby Allin (C) vs. MJF: AEW World Championship Match

Allin's shock title win has given way to a run of strong defenses on Dynamite, and MJF's fury has been a compelling accompaniment to the in-ring action. If MJF loses, he loses his hair, which some view as a joke stipulation. I disagree. MJF's character is all about legacy and image, so getting shaved bald by Allin is high-stakes within the storyline. While I can see a world where Allin retains long enough to drop the belt to someone like Moxley or Omega, there's no way he's carrying it into All In. I say his run is over, and a focused and desperate MJF regains the gold. Winner: MJF
