In the video, the sweet baby bison ran loops around his mom and the other bison when he got a case of the zoomies. The herd didn't seem to be bothered as he looped around them while they ate the grass without looking up at the baby.

Eventually, the zoomies wore out just as quickly as they came, and he settled himself in front of his mother before he began to eat with her.

Of course, the internet couldn't get enough of the adorable zoomies, with users loving how adorable the baby was running around. "Stop it… my heart ," one person wrote, while another added, "Thank you for making my day, this is too adorable."

In the video's caption, the person wrote, "To be a [baby bison] without a care in the world in Yellowstone National Park ."

All About the Bison Living at Yellowstone

Bison have lived in Yellowstone National Park since prehistoric times. According to the National Park Service, Bison are considered "the largest land-dwelling mammal in North America," and Yellowstone is home to "the most important bison herd in the United States."

"Yellowstone bison are exceptional because they comprise the nation's largest bison population on public land," they explain. "Unlike most other herds, this population has thousands of individuals that are allowed to roam relatively freely over the expansive landscape of Yellowstone National Park and some nearby areas of Montana.

Initially, the Bison population in Yellowstone ranged from 3,500 to nearly 6,000. But in 2025, the population was estimated at 5,300 Bison in the area.

The Bison herds in Yellowstone "exhibit wild behavior like their ancient ancestors, congregating during the breeding season to compete for mates, as well as migration and exploration that result in the use of new habitat areas."

It's these specific behaviors that have allowed for the "successful restoration of a population that was on the brink of extinction just over a century ago."
