June is poppin’ with Father’s Day fun, festivals and so much music

We are reaching the halfway point for 2019. That’s ... just ... crazy!

To help distract you from how fast this year is flying by, I’ll just say that June has got it going on.

Not only is it the month to treat dad to some fun — car show, perhaps — but the weekly concerts start up.

Yes, I’m talkin’ about Alive After Five. Can’t think of a better way to break up a weekly grind than with beer, tunes and friends on Wednesdays after work.

But why stop there? Let’s take care of your social calendar on Thursdays with Great Garden Escape and Fridays with Rock the Village.

There also are popular annual festivals going down this month, like the Emmett Cherry Festival, Boise Pride Fest and Meridian Dairy Days, to name a few.

And prepare yourself for a serious brain freeze with the Boise Ice Cream Festival, which offers more than two weeks of sweet events.

Outdoor family movies, anyone? CableOne Movie Night (Meridian), Silver Screen on the Green (Nampa), and Movies Under the Stars (Boise) have you covered. Don’t forget the blankets.
