Ahhh, sunshine!

Finally, some consecutive days of blue skies. And more to come with May right around the corner.

In addition to some anticipated beautiful weather, this month brings us a milestone in music, dance and theater.

Boise Music Week celebrates its 101th season this year, and will run May 2-12.

And because it is such a landmark, Music Week will be adding some special performances, including a “Variety Night” and music at public libraries.

Sound like something your mom might enjoy? Plan a date and take her to one of the shows for Mother’s Day.

Or bring mom to Hells Canyon Winery on Sunday, May 12, for wine, food and tunes.

This month also provides a day to support and donate to local organizations. The annual Idaho Gives is Thursday, May 2. Visit idahogives.org for a list of Idaho nonprofits, as well as community events.

And let’s add the Eagle Saturday Market to the roundup of farmers markets this month, as well as a new seasonal market at Flying M Coffeegarage.
