Suspect in custody after possible shot fired at Ann Morrison Park

A suspect is reportedly in custody after reports of a possible shot fired in the area of Ann Morrison Park on Wednesday, according to a BSU public safety tweet.

In a tweet at 12:53 p.m., the Boise Police Department said officers were investigating the report of a gun being discharged and securing the southwest corner of the park.

A Boise State University BroncoAlert described the suspect as a man believed to be in his mid-20s with braided black hair, clean shaven, and wearing a blue hoodie with writing on the front, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.

Shortly before 3 p.m., the police department issued a news release stating that no one was injured in the incident. According to the release, officers believe the incident started as a physical altercation between two men.

“Reports indicate that each male may have produced a weapon during the altercation, but did not use the weapons to harm one another,” the release said.

The report that a shot was fired remains unconfirmed, police said.
