Police identify deceased man found in ‘possible sinkhole’ near Nampa cemetery
The deceased man whose body was discovered near a Nampa cemetery has been identified, the Nampa Police Department said Friday.
Timothy Rose, 52, of Nampa was found in a “possible sinkhole” next to a canal near the Kohlerlawn Cemetery on 6th Street North on Wednesday. Rose was reported missing earlier in December.
Police processed the scene as a homicide but the Canyon County Coroner’s Office said the death doesn’t appear to be suspicious, Nampa police said in a news release Friday. The coroner’s office was unable to determine a time of death during the autoposy Friday, the police said, and the cause of death is expected to be finalized after toxicology results are returned in the coming weeks.
If you have any information about Rose, contact Nampa police Sgt. Brian Jones at 208-475-5714 or Crime Stoppers at 208-343-2677.
The investigation is ongoing.
