Flying out of the Boise Airport on Friday? Wear this, and you could board your plane early

If you’re planning on wearing an ugly sweater to a holiday party out of town this weekend, you might want to make sure it’s ready early.

Alaska Airlines will give priority boarding to all passengers wearing “festive sweaters” on Friday, Dec. 21, as part of National Ugly Sweater Day, according to Fortune.

The Boise Airport, which has 23 Alaska Airlines departures scheduled that day, is taking part in the fun.

“We think it’s fantastic,” Boise Airport spokesman Sean Briggs told the Statesman.

In addition, the Boise Airport will hold a pair of concerts that day on the second floor just outside the security checkpoint. At 1 p.m., 94.9 The River will hold a concert, and at 5 p.m., a viola group will help make your time at the metal detectors a little bit more cheerful.

Wearing a sweater to get priority boarding on Friday doesn’t mean you should arrive at the airport later than usual, however. If anything, come a bit early.

“We encourage travelers to give themselves a little additional time,” Briggs said.
