A fire broke out early Saturday morning at the Brickyard Steakhouse and Amsterdam Lounge in Boise.

The Boise Fire Department responded to an early-morning fire Saturday at the Brickyard Steakhouse and Amsterdam Lounge in Downtown Boise. The building suffered fire, smoke and water damage, the fire department said.

Hours later, it was business as usual. The Brickyard opened for its normal happy hour and Saturday-night dinner service, according to marketing and public relations manager Andy Clements.

“We were able to resolve it really quickly,” Clements said. “The damage was super minimal.”

Firefighters were called to a fire at 601 Main St. at 5:45 a.m., according to a news release. The fire was caused by a plate warmer in an area located on the wall shared by the Brickyard and the Amsterdam, which is next door at 609 Main St. The warmer was left on and wooden plates inside it caught fire, which then spread up the wall shared by the businesses.

The cause is accidental, the fire department said.
