82-year-old Nampa woman dies after 2-vehicle crash on Friday

An 82-year-old woman died Saturday morning after being taken to the hospital Friday with injuries sustained in a car crash, according to Nampa police.

Julia M. Pettit, of Nampa, was a passenger in a car involved in a two-vehicle crash at around 11 a.m. Friday at North Middleton Road and West Karcher Road. Pettit was in a Buick LeSabre traveling on West Karcher that attempted to turn left at the intersection. A Ford F-150 traveling through the intersection hit the LeSabre.

Each vehicle had a passenger taken to local hospitals; neither driver had to go.

Pettit died at 10:50 a.m. Saturday, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
