A Parma city councilman was arrested Tuesday afternoon on a felony charge of lewd conduct with a minor under 16.
Myron Jenkins, 36, is being held on a $50,000 bond at the Canyon County Jail.
According to the Canyon County Sheriff’s Office, authorities learned of the allegations on July 15 and interviewed the alleged victim, a 14-year-old, on July 17. During the interview, the teen said she had been touched by Jenkins in an unwanted manner on two occasions this year.
Jenkins was interviewed by authorities on July 17 and admitted to touching the teen in a sexual manner twice in February, according to the sheriff’s office. Jenkins also told the alleged victim to not talk, as he could go to jail, the sheriff’s office said.

His preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. July 31.
