If you see extra law enforcement at or near Borah High School on Wednesday, don’t be alarmed. It’s only a drill.
The Idaho Office of Emergency Management (IOEM) is holding an active assailant training exercise on Borah’s campus July 18 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) and Travel Security Administration (TSA) are holding the exercise with IOEM. The Boise Police Department, Boise Fire Department and Ada County Paramedics will be in attendance, according to a press release.
The exercise is closed to the public.
There will be electronic signs reading “Training in Progress” at various entrances to the campus.
