Ice Spice Breaks Silence After Altercation in McDonald's

Rapper Ice Spice has addressed her now-viral confrontation with a woman inside a McDonald's restaurant in Los Angeles.

"This wouldn't happen at Wendy's," Ice Spice, 26, wrote via X on Friday, April 17, alongside security footage from the alleged incident.

The rap star overlaid her 2023 song "Deli" over CCTV footage of the then-unidentified patron slapping her. Ice Spice subsequently rose from her seat to follow the individual outside.

Ice Spice has a partnership with Wendy's, another fast food chain.

"Still rich still craving @wendys new spicy chicken sandwich," she tweeted on April 9, also adding "Wendy's princess" to her social media bio.

News broke earlier on Friday that Ice Spice's altercation in McDonald's led to a brawl outside the dining establishment. The individual claimed to TMZ that she attempted to compliment Ice Spice, who allegedly called her a "bitch." The woman, later identified as Vayah, said that she slapped Ice Spice in retaliation.

"She was being disrespectful and rude, which is why we fought," Vayah told the outlet.

Ice Spice's attorney has since issued a statement on the incident.

"The unprovoked attack on my client has been reported to the LAPD and we will be pursuing any and all avenues to hold the perpetrators responsible for their actions, including criminally and civilly," the singer's lawyer Bradford Cohen told Page Sixin a statement. "We are also exploring holding the location responsible for their lack of appropriate security."

Us Weekly reached out for comment at the time.

Ice Spice (real name Isis Gaston) rose to fame in 2022, eventually raking up chart-topping hits and Grammy nominations.

"I'm still a regular person. Me and my bestie always talk about this. She's always like, ‘Bro, people don't know how normal you are!'" she told Nylonin September 2025. "I literally am the girl next door. That's not my lore - that's my swag!"

She continued, "Honestly, the pressure's great. I think the girls [in rap] also enjoy the friendly competition amongst each other. I feel like that's what keeps the spark."

Ice Spice's career reached new heights in 2023 after collaborating with Taylor Swifton a remix of her song "Karma."

"Why would she not want to be my friend?" Ice Spice told Rolling Stone in 2024, debunking claims the two women aren't actually pals. "Taylor f***s with me. She's so funny. I think our personalities mesh really well."

Ice Spice even called Swift, 36, her "closest celebrity friend."
