5 Things to Do in Boise This Weekend
1. FEEL SUBLIME
The vibe is gonna be festive Friday at Eagle River Pavilion. The promoter says ticket sales have been strong for Sublime with Rome and Dirty Heads, who will perform outdoors at the Merrill Park venue. The opening acts are Tribal Seeds and Bleeker. [Tickets]

2. FLY LIKE AN EAGLE
Who is gonna make it to The Village at Meridian? We’ll find out ... in the long run. But if you’re an Eagles fan, you’d be a fool not to head to this free “Rock the Village” concert Friday. Colorado-based tribute band The Long Run even has a singing drummer, a la Don Henley. Music runs from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The Sensitives open.

3. CELEBRATE A YEAR
Raise a toast Saturday with Statesman cocktail columnist Kevin Hopper and celebrate one year with neighborhood hangout Capitol Bar, 6100 W. State St. (It used to be Shotsie’s.)

4. FLOAT THEN PARTY
But (sigh) not at the same time. 10 Barrel Brewing Co. has organized a competitive Boise River float that will culminate in actual beer afterward as they shut down the street in front of the brewery in Downtown Boise. It’s called Tubeapalooza and happens Saturday.

5. DRINK LIKE A FISH
There are tap takeovers. Then there are tap annihilations. If you’re a fan of Sockeye Brewing, you need to visit Bittercreek Alehouse, 246 N. 8th St., on Sunday. To celebrate the businesses’ 20th anniversaries, Bittercreek will pour 45 Sockeye flavors — “the largest collection of Sockeye brews ever.” The event runs from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
