Don’t miss out: American Craft Beer Week wraps up Sunday.

1. CELEBRATE BEER

American Craft Beer Week wraps up this weekend. Among the stream of big, recent news at Payette Brewing Co., the new tap room will be rocking Saturday with bikes, food trucks and live music. There’s also a local beer/wine/food truck festival, For the Love of Craft, happening outside Cloud 9 Brewery that day. Craft Beer Week’s finale, called Brew O’Lympics, will offer outdoor games, brews and music in Eagle on Sunday. (Please don’t rain!)

2. BOOK A MOTEL

Every year, Pinto Bennett and the Famous Motel Cowboys lead a three-day onslaught of music at Hannah’s known as their Reunion. It runs Friday through (Blood Mary) Sunday. The lineup is always a who’s who of local roots-music players.

3. PROG ROCK

Learn about Boiseans who are getting involved — including local nonprofits, workshops, artisans, businesses and more — at the sixth Community Progressive on Saturday at Julia Davis Park. If you want to just chill, smile and hear some live music, the beer garden is calling your name.

4. BOOK TO GARDEN CITY

Nosh on barbecue, plus enjoy door prizes, a live auction, a raffle and music from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday in the courtyard of the Garden City Library. This “BBQ Bash for Books” is adults-only and $25. Bring a little extra cash for beer and wine, if you wanna get your drank on.

5. HIT THE MUSEUMS

With “live birds, hands-on activities, games, art projects, exhibits, nature activities and more,” International Museum Day will bring together a whole slew of Boise-area museums for an all-in-one showcase from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Old Idaho Penitentiary. It’s free, too.
