Rock band Kiss to perform Boise concert

The last time Kiss rocked Idaho was in 2000.

Let’s go ahead and pretend it wasn’t called their “Farewell Tour.” Because Kiss will return to the Treasure Valley on Thursday, July 7, at Taco Bell Arena. (Paul and Gene, that is. Ace and Peter have been replaced.)

Tickets will be $39.50, $89.50 and $125 and go on sale at 10 a.m. April 15 at Ticketmaster and Taco Bell Arena (pre-sale at 10 a.m. April 14 — use the password “Destroyer” at TacoBellArena.com). Caleb Johnson opens. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.; the show is at 7:30.

You can expect the hits to flow at this show: “Detroit Rock City,” “I Was Made For Loving You,” “Christine Sixteen,” “Rock & Roll All Night,” “Hard Luck Woman” ...

Soooo, you’re wondering, what is Kiss like nowadays? Older? Well, yes. But, hey, they never age. Makeup rules!

And is half the band composed of not-exactly-original members Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer? Um, yes.

But, for what it’s worth, you can tell Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons are still having a blast performing.
