With competitors such as Outlaw Field and Memorial Stadium announcing multiple summer concerts, it’s time for the Ford Idaho Center Amphitheater to weigh in — and weigh in heavy.

After revealing a July 25 Avett Brothers show back in January, Nampa’s outdoor venue has booked two more concerts, and both evoke the phrase “earplugs, kids.”

▪  Heavy metal bands Korn, Rob Zombie and In This Moment will perform at a 6:30 p.m. concert Tuesday, July 26. With the demise of the annual touring Mayhem Festival, this should appeal to Boise headbangers craving an outdoor experience. Korn played at MayhemFest in 2014. Zombie headlined it in 2013.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. March 11 at ICTickets for $29.50 (first 500 sold), $35 (second 500), $39.50 (third 500), then $45 advance and $49.50 day of show.

▪  In its first Idaho visit since 2011, the Vans Warped Tour will return Thursday, Aug. 11. Before it left the Gem State because of softening ticket sales, Warped had enjoyed a 14-year run at the Idaho Center Amphitheater. (And one year before that at Garden City’s Les Bois Park.) So Warped fans would be wise to support this show and keep the 50-plus-band rock, punk and skate-culture festival coming back to the Boise market.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. March 22. The first 500 tickets will be sold for $29 and include a Warped CD download. After that, tickets are $39.50 advance, $45 day of show. You’ll get them at

The Warped band lineup will be announced at 4 p.m. March 22 at the Warped Tour website.
