Deeds: 5 Things You Should Do this Weekend in Boise
1. ROCK OUT
Portland rockers The Thermals will welcome Treefort Music Fest early by headlining a raucous Treefort Launch Party on Saturday at El Korah Shrine. More of a hip-hop fan? Check out Hoodie Allen, who headlines the Knitting Factory on Saturday.
Warning: profanity
2. MEET AN AMAZING ARTIST
SoCal artist Adonna Khare does things with pencil that are simply flabbergasting. Join her for the opening of Boise Art Museum’s new exhibition, “Adonna Khare: The Kingdom,” from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday. It’s $10.
3. PARTY WITH YOUR BRAIN
The 12th annual Engineering and Science Festival at Boise State University happens all day Saturday. Thousands of students will attend, and everyone is welcome. It’s free.
4. JOIN THE GUYS
Ah, those irresistible Piano Guys. The YouTube sensations are back in Boise — at the Morrison Center on Saturday — with their blend of classical and pop music. There’s a matinee and evening show.
5. LIGHT UP YOUR NIGHT
Oregon-based Rainbow Dance Theatre turns the lights out — and the trippy visuals on — with its “iLumiDance” show. Check it out Friday at Nampa Civic Center.
