Any drink on the menu for free: Coffee chain to open 150th store — its 7th in Boise area

A popular, growing coffee chain will open its 150th store Monday.

That means free drinks for Idaho.

Black Rock Coffee Bar, which already has three locations in Boise and three more in Meridian, is headed to Caldwell. Black Rock’s newest destination will debut at 4602 Beacon Lane.

To celebrate the grand opening, the Canyon County store will give away free medium drinks all day — Jan. 20 — from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. The offer includes anything on the menu. No purchase is necessary.

“Conveniently located right off Franklin Road, the 2,000-square-foot store features Black Rock Coffee Bar’s signature industrial modern design,” a press release says, “creating an inviting space where customers can enjoy their favorite beverages while relaxing, working or socializing.”

Founded in Oregon in 2008, Black Rock is “known for its premium roasted coffees, teas, smoothies and flavorful Fuel Energy drinks.” Now headquartered in Scottsdale, the brand operates in seven states: Arizona, Idaho, California, Colorado, Oregon, Texas and Washington.

In addition to Monday’s free drink promotion, the Caldwell store will offer specials the rest of the week.

“This milestone represents a testament to the passion and loyalty of our customers and the dedication of our incredible team,” CEO Mark Davis said in the release. “We are thrilled to continue expanding in the Boise metro area, where the community has embraced our mission of creating meaningful connections over exceptional coffee.”
