Two stars, 120+ million albums sold. More major outdoor concerts coming next year, Boise
Shake off Boise’s chilly inversion with dreams of warm-weather concerts.
Two new outdoor shows have been announced for 2025 at the Ford Idaho Center Amphitheater.
Superstar country singer Keith Urban and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer James Taylor will roll into the Nampa venue for separate concerts.
▪ Urban will perform Saturday, July 19, with guests Chase Matthew, Alana Springsteen and Karley Scott Collins. Tickets will cost $39.75 to $129.75 plus fees and become available to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday through fordidahocenter.com.
A four-time Grammy winner, Urban is known for hits such as “Blue Ain’t Your Color,” “Somebody Like You” and “Making Memories of Us.”
When Urban sold his master recordings in 2022, Billboard wrote that Luminate Data estimated his equivalent album unit sales at 20.7 million in the United States alone. His records have generated more than 10 billion song streams, according to the tour’s press release.
▪ Taylor and His All-Star Band will headline in late spring — on Wednesday, May 21. He’ll bring opening act Tiny Habits, a vocal trio. Tickets also go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday through fordidahocenter.com. — for $49.50 to $189.50 plus fees.
A six-time Grammy winner, Taylor has been a household name for decades. He first erupted in the mainstream in 1970 with the hit “Fire and Rain.” Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000, Taylor, 76, is probably best known for his cover of Carole King’s “You’ve Got a Friend.”
Taylor has sold more than 100 million albums during his career, according to his official biography.
