This superstar drew the Idaho Center’s 3rd-largest outdoor crowd. He’s back, Boise

The party is on again for No Shoes Nation this summer.

Beach-loving country superstar Kenny Chesney — who has earned a place in the Ford Idaho Center Amphitheater record book — will return for another concert Thursday, July 11.

Chesney’s last two shows at the Nampa venue sold out in advance with over 10,000 fans each, according to Creston Thornton, president of promoter Live Nation’s mountain region. Those were two and six years ago, respectively. The 2018 performance packed in 10,315, making it the third-largest outdoor event in Idaho Center history. (Morgan Wallen lured 10,518 concertgoers in 2022, and Shania Twain drew an estimated 10,500 in 1998.)

Chesney’s special guest will be Megan Moroney.

Tickets become available to the general public at 9 a.m. Friday at fordidahocenter.com for $52.50-$157.50. The first of multiple presales kicks off at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

With more than 30 million albums sold and over 40 top 10 country hits, Chesney is one of the genre’s biggest crossover success stories. Between the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music, he’s won Entertainer of the Year nine times.

Chesney regularly performs in stadiums. But Boise is in luck. He’s playing another “intimate” show here.

“There is nothing like being out on the lawn with your friends, or even under the pavilion, on a clear night hearing the music and just being in the moment,” Chesney said in a media release. “You can do some things in that environment you can’t at a stadium. It’s less production, less massive, but there’s a real sense of connection that is undeniable.”
