Will this superstar singer sell out the Idaho Center a 3rd time? He’s coming back, Boise

If you missed Chris Stapleton during his previous sold-out visits to the Boise area, you’re in luck.

He’s headed back next summer.

Stapleton will headline a concert Thursday, July 25, 2024, at the Ford Idaho Center arena in Nampa. Tickets to the show go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 3, for $69.75 to $159.75 through fordidahocenter.com.

An eight-time Grammy winner, Stapleton, 45, was ranked No. 170 on Rolling Stone’s recent list of the “200 Greatest Singers of All Time.”

“Though he calls country music home,” Rolling Stone observed, “Chris Stapleton has more in common, vocally speaking, with Otis Redding and Aretha Franklin than George Jones or Hank Williams. The Kentucky native’s growling, raspy tone is amplified by control and power, allowing him to transform the country chestnut ‘Tennessee Whiskey’ into an easy-sipping R&B ballad or sprinkle dazzling runs all over ‘Sometimes I Cry.’ ”

Allen Stone and Nikki Lane are scheduled to open the 7 p.m. show, which is part of Stapleton’s All American Road Show tour.

Stapleton has sold out the Idaho Center twice before — in 2018 and 2022.
