One of country music’s biggest stars will return to the Treasure Valley next year.

Singer Tim McGraw will bring his Standing Room Only Tour to ExtraMile Arena on Saturday, April 6, 2024. The opening act will be fellow Grammy-winning singer Carly Pearce.

Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Aug. 4 at Ticketmaster. Prices were not immediately available.

After breaking out in 1994 with his smash album “Not a Moment Too Soon,” McGraw became a powerhouse of country radio — and still is. He “has amassed 68 Top 10s and holds the Mediabase record for the most weeks at No. 1 with all titles, totaling 73 weeks,” according to a media release, “and holds the record for second-most No. 1 albums in the U.S. just behind George Strait.”

McGraw is no stranger to the Treasure Valley. Arguably, he made his biggest waves came 17 years ago. In 2006, the Idaho Statesman reported that he set an attendance record at the Idaho Center (now Ford Idaho Center) in Nampa by drawing 11,535 fans — with help from his co-headlining wife, Faith Hill. The sold-out concert, part of their Soul2Soul Tour, caused a traffic slowdown on Interstate 84. As a result, the show started 45 minutes late but was well worth it for fans.

(The Ford Idaho Center now says that show drew 11,059 concertgoers, and that George Strait holds the arena record with 11,445 fans in 2013.)

Even without Hill along, McGraw does massive numbers. His concert at ExtraMile Arena in 2024 “should be a monster again,” said Creston Thornton, president of promoter Live Nation’s mountain region.

McGraw’s latest album, “Standing Room Only,” will be released Aug. 25.
