This band has more top 10 rock hits than Foo Fighters. It’s coming, Boise, really this time
Flash the devil horns and bang your head.
A summer Ford Idaho Center Amphitheater concert canceled in late spring is back on — or at least a version of it.
Godsmack, which nixed its co-headlining show with Staind planned for Aug. 18, has scheduled a new performance two months later.
The concert will be indoors at the Idaho Center arena on Wednesday, Oct. 4. The openers will be I Prevail and Flat Black, featuring Jason Hook, former lead guitarist for Five Finger Death Punch.
Tickets to the 7 p.m. show will become available to the general public starting at 10 a.m. Friday through fordidahocenter.com. They’ll range from $39.50 to $125.
Fans should be stoked. Godsmack hasn’t visited the Boise area since 2018, when it performed with Shinedown.
And this group is a heavy-duty hit machine.
“Godsmack has more Top 10 rock songs than Foo Fighters or their hometown heroes, Aerosmith,” the band’s official bio brags. “Stretching back to their four-times platinum self-titled debut, initially recorded in 1996 for $2,500, the veteran band’s catalog of hits is enough to fill a marathon set without running out. Songs like ‘I Stand Alone,’ ‘Awake’ and ‘Voodoo’ are certified anthems deeply encoded into hard rock’s DNA.”
