Tickets to 4 major Boise summer concerts go on sale this week. Here’s a new one

The Ford Idaho Center Amphitheater is planning another super-busy summer for Boise music fans.

Eight concerts already are scheduled at the outdoor venue, including the latest show to be revealed: Michael Franti & Spearhead on Saturday, Aug. 12.

Tickets to the Franti gig become available to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday at fordidahocenter.com for $35 first 100 sold, $39.50 second 100 and $45 normal general admission. The price rises to $49.50 at the show.

A singer-songwriter and rapper, Franti has played Boise multiple times before. As a summer performer, he’s previously headlined Outlaw Field at the Idaho Botanical Garden.

Franti’s show will include special guests to be announced later. It’s one of four Idaho Center Amphitheater concerts that go on sale Friday. The other three:

Barenaked Ladies, Semisonic and Del Amitri: June 15.

Luke Bryan, Chayce Beckham, Tyler Braden, Conner Smith and DJ Rock: Aug. 5

Young the Giant, Milky Chance and Rosa Linn: Aug. 14.

Concerts already on sale at the Nampa amphitheater include Matchbox 20 (June 4), Hank Williams Jr. (July 14), Rain (July 28) and Parker McCollum (July 29).
