If you’re familiar with Chelsea Handler, you’re aware that she’s not exactly shy.

So it’s no shocker that Handler generated a headline or two after hosting the Critics’ Choice Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night — such as this one from TMZ: “Chelsea Handler roasts Prince Harry’s penis at Critics’ Choice Awards.”

Who knows what sort of royal treatment Handler will give Boise when she visits.

Handler, 47, will headline a comedy show on Saturday, April 22, at Idaho Central Arena as part of her 2023 Little Big Bitch Tour. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at Ticketmaster for $39.50 to $99.50.

An actress, television host, producer and New York Times bestselling author, Handler is known for her late-night talk show “Chelsea Lately,” which aired on E! from 2007 to 2014. She was named one of Time’s 100 Most Influential People in 2012.

Handler also has done multiple shows for Netflix, including a newly released comedy special, “Revolution.”

Broadcast on The CW, this year’s Critics’ Choice Awards were a perfect spot for Handler to showcase her comedic talents. (Even if viewership for awards shows continues to erode.) The dig at Prince Harry’s recently released memoir, “Spare,” came while talking about a Netflix series, “Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.”

“ ‘Dahmer’ became the third-highest-viewed show on Netflix with a combined watch time of 1 billion hours,” Handler said on the telecast, “which apparently is the same amount of time we’re going to have to listen to Prince Harry talk about his frostbitten penis. It’s enough already.”

Other concert news

John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band has been booked to perform Saturday, May 20, at the Revolution Concert and Event Center in Garden City.

“Eddie and the Cruisers” movie fans can expect to hear hits such as “On the Dark Side,” “Tender Years” and “Garden of Eden.” (Oh, and don’t forget “Hearts on Fire” from the “Rocky IV” soundtrack.)

Tickets go on sale for $35 general admission, $65 upstairs VIP, at 10 a.m. Friday at Ticketmaster.

EDM duo Hippie Sabotage sold out the 2,200-capacity Revolution Center in advance a year ago. The band will return to headline another concert Friday, April 28, at the Rev.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at Ticketmaster for $25 (first 100 sold), $29.50 (normal advance general-admission), $35 day of show, and $59.50 upstairs VIP.
