When Cody Jinks sold out Colorado’s famous Red Rocks Amphitheater in 2019, it was such a special night that he turned it into his first official live album the following year.
Now the Texas country singer has a special night planned for Boise fans.
Jinks has announced a surprise show Saturday, July 9, at the Revolution Concert House and Event Center, 4983 N. Glenwood St. in Garden City. Although the venue holds 2,200 people, Jinks’ concert will be mostly seated and limited to fewer than 1,100 tickets.
They will become available at noon Friday at Ticketmaster for $75, $100, $125, $150, $200 and $250. Presales start at 10 am. and 11 a.m. Information is available at Jinks’ Facebook page, which also has a giveaway contest.
Ward Davis and Erin Viancourt will be the opening acts at the show, which starts at 6:30 p.m.
A former heavy metal musician, Jinks calls himself “the biggest independent country music artist on the planet.” He’s known for fan favorites such as “Hippies and Cowboys,” “Loud and Heavy” and “Must Be the Whiskey.”
The Idaho show had more than 2,200 fans (and counting) “interested” on Facebook in the first 24 hours, despite half that many tickets being available, said Creston Thornton, who owns the Revolution Center.
A similar Jinks show July 16 in Billings, Montana, already “blew out in 5 minutes,” Thornton said. He expects the Revolution Center concert to do the same. “I think it’s going to be gone as fast as the ticket system can do it,” he said.
