This Rock and Roll Hall of Famer will perform a Boise concert. Caamp is coming too

It’s almost criminal how busy Outlaw Field will be this summer.

The latest headliners announced at the Idaho Botanical Garden’s outdoor concert venue? Rising indie-folk band Caamp and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Jackson Browne.

Caamp will perform Tuesday, July 26, with opening act Futurebirds. Tickets are available at 10 a.m. Friday, March 18, at Ticketmaster.com for $45 standard general admission, $40 Garden member, $91 suite. A presale for Garden members begins at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 15.

Browne will take the stage Wednesday, Sept. 21. Tickets can be purchased starting at 10 a.m. Friday, March 18, also at Ticketmaster. They cost $85 standard general admission, $80 Garden member, $169 suite. A presale for Garden members kicks off at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 15.

Based in Columbus, Ohio, Caamp was formed after Taylor Meier and Evan Westfall met at a summer camp as kids. The group’s first full-length album was released in 2016. Since then, Caamp has racked up 590 million streams globally — with a sound it’s described as “beautiful noise.” Caamp has had multiple hits on Triple A radio (in Boise, the format used by 94.9 FM The River), including “Peach Fuzz,” “By and By” and “Officer of Love.”

Singer-guitarist Browne, 73, powered up the charts in the 1970s and ‘80s with rock radio hits such as “Doctor, My Eyes,” “Running on Empty,” “Somebody’s Baby” and “Tender is the Night.” He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.

Browne has sold more than 18 million albums in the United States. As a songwriter, his accomplishments go on and on. Browne co-wrote The Eagles’ 1972 smash “Take It Easy” with Glenn Frey. He penned “These Days” — widely covered by other artists — when he was 16 years old.

Outlaw Field is located on the Botanical Garden property at 2355 N. Old Penitentiary Road. Here’s the rest of the concert lineup: Lord Huron on May 29, Ween on June 28, The Avett Brothers on July 12 (sold out), Khruangbin on July 13, Rainbow Kitten Surprise on July 15, Whiskey Myers, Shane Smith & The Saints and 49 Winchester on Aug. 7 (sold out), The Head and the Heart on Aug. 9, Bonnie Raitt with Mavis Staples on Aug. 14, Mt.
