New Boise summer concert: With 9 Top 10 hits, she’s up for Artist of the Year — again
With outdoor concerts already announced from superstars such as Morgan Wallen and Kenny Chesney, summer is looking massive for country music fans in the Treasure Valley.
It just got bigger.
Singer-songwriter Maren Morris, known for her smash “The Bones,” has been scheduled for a show Friday, Aug. 19, at Outlaw Field in Boise. The opening act will be The Lone Bellow. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, March 11, at Ticketmaster.com for $65 Garden member, $70 standard general admission, $140 suite. A presale for Garden members starts at 8 a.m. Tuesday, March 8.
Known for blending country with R&B and other styles, Morris is a Grammy-winning performer. Since breaking out in 2016 with the song “My Church,” she’s stacked up multiple Academy of Country Music Awards and Country Music Association Awards. She won Female Artist of the Year at the ACM awards in 2020 and 2021. She’s nominated again in 2022.
Morris, 31, has had nine Top 10 songs on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart and four No. 1 hits on its Country Airplay chart.
“Oh, how I’ve missed you,” she tweeted Monday, announcing her “Humble Quest” tour. “I can’t wait to see you out under the stars.”
The Boise concert will begin at 7 p.m., with doors opening an hour earlier.
