Serving Boise for over 20 years, local burger chain opens new restaurant

Got a craving for a thick, calorie-packed gut bomb? (The good kind.)

Pop through the drive-thru at Boise’s newest fast-food joint.

Bad Boy Burgers, which has served Boise for more than two decades at 815 S. Vista Ave., opened a new store last week. The restaurant took over a former Jack in the Box at 6875 S. Federal Way. It’s the third location for the local chain, which also has a spot at 7000 W. Fairview Ave.

Sharing its motto “Good is good, but Bad is better,” Bad Boy plays things pretty straight in the burger universe. In addition to selling modestly priced, hefty bacon double cheeseburgers and the like, Bad Boy offers sandwiches such as chicken or Philly, plus finger steaks, fries and salads. Bad Boy also cranks out breakfast burritos and egg sandwiches early in the day.

Keep your expectations reasonable for now; the Federal Way restaurant is still working out soft-opening kinks, according to its Facebook page.

But a grand opening announcement is expected soon.
