Update: Boise bar in North End closes, two employees test positive for coronavirus

Editor’s note: This story had been updated to reflect 13th Street Pub & Grill’s update on social media.

Boise bars increasingly are closing as coronavirus cases spread concern.

The latest: 13th Street Pub & Grill in Hyde Park.

The popular North End hangout at 1520 N. 13th St. posted Thursday on Facebook that it had temporarily closed as a safety measure against the spread of COVID-19.

“We would like everyone to know that at this current time we do not have any positive cases, just exposures ...,” the restaurant wrote. “We will continue to be transparent to our neighbors in hopes to keep everyone safe and healthy.”

On Friday, it updated saying there had been “two positive cases with employees in the last 24 hours.”

“Both of them have been doing well, and are in isolation. All employees have been encouraged to get tested and to practice safe distancing until negative results can be confirmed. It is our responsibility to the community to be as transparent and honest as possible about everything COVID.”
