Get pumped, Idaho. Meridian’s ‘Doc Thor’ meets The Rock on reality TV battle tonight
In this time of stress and worry, sometimes a little mindless, adrenaline-fueled entertainment is the best medicine.
An iron-pumping Idaho doctor has the perfect prescription.
Meridian’s Kaleb Redden will compete for the Central Region tonight on season two of Dwayne Johnson’s “The Titan Games.” The 35-year-old husband and father will attack “Chain Linked” and “Kick Out” challenges in his quest to earn his way to Mount Olympus and the title of the next Titan Champion.
The episode, titled “The Rock Meets Doc Thor,” airs at 7 p.m. The description: “Action continues in the Central Division, where the winner moves on to face a pro Titan on Mt. Olympus in the consummate athletic test. Dwayne Johnson hosts, with boxer Claressa Shields and ex-NFL lineman Joe Thomas serving as pro Titans.”
Should be fun. I’m told there’s even a little segment about how Redden looks similar to Chris Hemsworth, the actor who plays Thor in the Marvel movies.
Here’s Redden’s “Titan Games” bio: “Dr. Kaleb Redden, otherwise known as Doc Thor, is a sports medicine physician. His aspirations of becoming a professional football player were derailed due to a significant back injury while in college at Utah State University. Instead of becoming a professional athlete, he pursued a career as a physician and now takes care of the pros in clinic. Along with his grit and ambition, Dr. Redden credits his wife for standing by him and supporting him through all the trials and low points that injury has brought along with the rigors of medical training.”
