No Idaho Center concert: This tour just got canceled because of coronavirus.
A national tour scheduled to roll into the Boise area is the latest victim of coronavirus fears.
The Roadshow Tour 2020, a Christian music concert, has been canceled Friday at the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa.
About 3,000 fans were expected to attend, according to Idaho Center general manager Andrew Luther.
Here’s the statement from tour organizers: “Due to the continued spread of COVID-19, and the questions still surrounding it, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the remaining Roadshow 2020 tour dates. While this was an extremely difficult decision for us, the health and well-being of our attendees, performers, staff, and community is our top priority. All ticket holders will be issued a refund within 7 days. We appreciate your patience as we navigate a large number of refunds.”
The tour included Bethel Music, Matt Maher, Martin Smith of Delirious? and Unspoken, plus ApolloLTD, Peabod and Elle Limebear.
Despite the cancellation, the Idaho Center is still scheduled to host music this weekend.
Metal band Tool will perform Saturday as planned, organizers said Thursday.
