Boise to become Margaritaville: Jimmy Buffett is coming to town
Get the battery-powered margarita blender fired up. Jimmy Buffett is coming back to Boise.
Buffett and his Coral Reefer Band will perform at 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at Taco Bell Arena. Best known for 1977 smash “Margaritaville,” Buffett will roll through town on his Son Of A Son Of A Sailor Tour.
Buffett, 71, last played Boise State’s arena in fall of 2012 — his first Idaho concert. The show triggered an influx of laid-back crazies — er, fans known as Parrotheads — who spent the day pretending Boise was a tropical island while tailgating in the parking lot. More margaritas and LandShark Lager (Buffett’s beer brand) were sold inside the arena, where Buffett delivered easygoing favorites such as “Come Monday,” “Cheeseburger in Paradise” and “Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes.”
Tickets to the Buffett concert go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19, for $56.50 and $116.50 at Ticketmaster and the Taco Bell Arena box office.
