Keith Urban’s last Idaho concert was electric — in a bad way. Now he’s returning to Boise

Keith Urban didn’t even make it on stage the last time he visited Idaho.

Because of lightning and inclement weather, the popular country singer’s performance last July was canceled by organizers of the Mountain Home Country Music Festival.

Urban posted a Facebook video telling fans that he hoped to make it up to them. And while Urban’s show this fall technically isn’t a make-up date — you’ll need to buy a ticket whether you endured that Elmore County storm or not — it’s a relatively timely return to Southern Idaho.

Urban will perform Sept. 28 at Taco Bell Arena in Boise, according to tour dates announced this week. The opening act will be Kelsea Ballerini.

Ticket information was not available. The tour will support Urban’s ninth studio album, “Graffiti U,” set to be released later this year.
