Tool, which will headline the Ford Idaho Center on Sunday, June 18, is the Boise market’s most anticipated rock concert in recent memory.

The show quickly sold out in advance. All the seats are gone. Even singles.

Since then, organizers have cleaned up the sight lines to the stage. They moved things around. And — yes! — they received approval to open three more sections.

At 10 a.m. sharp Friday, 452 more seats, all priced at $89.50, will go on sale at ICTickets. The sections are A1, C26, and C49.

With the additional seats, a total of about 9,500 fans will be able to see the Grammy-winning art-metal band.

I caught Tool the last time the group played the Idaho Center. If you’ve seen the band live, you understand what the hype is about. They’re like Pink Floyd for metalheads. There’s really nobody else out there quite like them.
