Living in the shadow of a more-famous sibling presents unique challenges. Yet it’s never seemed to faze Livingston Taylor. A gifted singer, songwriter and guitarist, Taylor has recorded tons of music over the years as a solo artist and a collaborator. He’s never had a major hit, but he’s cracked the charts with tunes such as “I Will Be in Love With You” (1978) and “First Time Love” (1980). Taylor, 66, is a humorous, entertaining performer, so his shows Friday and Saturday at the intimate Sapphire Room promise to be a lot of fun. And if you’ve never heard of Livingston but absolutely love James? Take a chance here: Their voices sound remarkably similar.
