If you were born in 1939 and cut your first folk album in 1961, now seems like a good time to at least semi-retire. Not if you’re Judy Collins. Not only does Judy Blue Eyes still perform dozens of shows per year, she also just got nominated for another Grammy Award: Best Folk Album for “Silver Skies Blue,” recorded with singer-songwriter Ari Hest. Next on Collins’ agenda, according to a recent interview with the Huffington Post: “To keep working, to keep performing, to keep creative, to keep doing the things that I love. Writing, coming up with new ideas, making new albums, having a good time, watching good movies.” Sounds like a good life. Catch up with Collins on Wednesday at the Morrison Center in Boise.
7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, Morrison Center, 2201 Cesar Chavez Lane, Boise. $49.50 and $59.50. Ticketmaster.
