This is way more than just a light show. The Rainbow Dance Theatre uses electro-luminescent wire and glowy, fiber-optic fabric with black lights to tell mesmerizing stories with technical brilliance. Art and science overlap as dancers explore the majesty of the Big Bang and the ways in which humans absorb flaws and wisdom. This experience is so beautiful and engaging that even children will be mesmerized.

7 p.m. Feb. 5, Friday, Nampa Civic Center, 311 3rd St. S. $31. 468-5500, nampaciviccenter.com.
