The Boise Philharmonic and its Master Chorale will perform holiday favorites

The Boise Philharmonic and its Master Chorale and the Columbia High School Choir will perform “Holiday Pops,” a lively mix of traditional and contemporary seasonal tunes. You’ll hear Leroy Anderson’s “Bugler’s Holiday,” featuring the Boise Phil brass; “ ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas” narrated by 94.9 The River’s Ken Bass; and a world premiere arrangement of “Christmas on the Moon,” by violist Jennifer Drake and tenor Chad Marvin. There will also be other holiday favorites and — of course — a sing-along. Bring socks for the musicians’ charity sock drive.

8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11, Brandt Center, Northwest Nazarene University, 707 Fern St., Nampa, $22-$43.50; 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at the Morrison Center, 2201 Cesar Chavez Lane, Boise. $23.75-$71.50. BoisePhil.org.
