Mall shooting in Boise

Two people were fatally shot and 4 others were injured at the Boise Towne Square mall Monday afternoon. Stick with the Statesman as we report the latest in this developing story.

The Boise Police Department will hold a live press conference to give information on the Oct. 25 shooting at Boise Towne Square on Milwaukee Street that left that six people, including a police officer.

It’s the first mass shooting in the Boise area in recent memory.

Police said on Twitter shortly before 2:15 p.m. Monday that officers were responding to reports of shots fired at the mall on Milwaukee Street.

The agency later said on social media that one person was in custody. And BPD said on Twitter that officers were going store by store at Boise Towne Square to clear each business and that it had no information “indicating additional threats at this time.”
