Balloon Classic glows on this weekend with ‘Nite Glow,’ launches

Balloons will light up the night at the annual Boise Balloon Classic’s “Nite Glow Spectacular” on Friday, Sept. 2. The ballooning festival centerpiece brings thousands of people out to marvel at the colorful hot air balloons. Bring your own chairs, blankets and picnic (no alcohol, please), or purchase food on site. Boise’s Big Wow Band, right, will start at 6 p.m.; balloons will inflate at dusk (around 8:15 p.m.).

There also are still morning launches. Balloons will take off between 7 and 7:15 a.m. Friday, Sept. 2, to Sunday, Sept. 4, at Ann Morrison Park, 1000 N. Americana Blvd., Boise. Free.
