The Warhawk Museum brings fighter planes of yesteryear to Nampa

This B-25 Mitchell bomber will be at the Warhawk Air Museum for its Warbird Roundup. These planes were used during World War II, in air raids such as the famous Doolittle Raid. Many of the planes in for the event will fly over the two-day event.

You’ll see several World War II planes, such as the Dauntless SBD-5 Dive-Bomber, P-40s, P-51s, a 0-1 Bird Dog and more at the annual “Warbird Roundup” at Nampa’s Warhawk Air Museum. This year’s guest speaker is Jonna Doolittle Hoppes, granddaughter of U.S. Air Force Gen. James “Jimmy” Doolittle, who led the historic Doolittle Raid after the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor in 1941. Doolittle and his crew flew Mitchell B-25 bombers, and you’ll see one at the event.
