Fun will flow on Boise’s Basque Block with the annual Winefest
Head down to the Basque Block for the 19th annual WineFest, where there will be more than 100 wines from Spain, California, Idaho, the Pacific Northwest and other parts of the world to taste. If you get hungry, the Basque Block restaurants — Bar Gernika, Bardenay, Basque Market and Basque Center and neighboring The Front Door Pizza — will serve pintxos (tapas) for purchase. This is the Basque Museum and Cultural Center’s largest fundraiser, so check out the silent auction. And, of course, the Oinkari Basque Dancers and others will perform.
5:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19, Basque Block, Grove Street between Capitol Boulevard and 6th Street, Boise. $35 for individual tickets, $120 for four in advance; $40 day of the event. 343-2671. BasqueMuseum.com.
