If you think scientists are stuffy, then meet superstar physicist Neil deGrasse Tyson. The “Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey” host will dazzle you with his charm and charismatic approach to science in “An Astrophysicist Goes To The Movies.” With a degree in physics from Harvard University and a doctorate in astrophysics from Columbia University, he’s still a nerd like the rest of us when it comes to his favorite science fiction. Except he really knows what he’s talking about when he disagrees with what’s on the screen. He will share his take on how movies depict science and space —who got it wrong, and who didn’t try but still got some things right. You’ll have fun and you might learn something.

7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, Morrison Center, 2201 Cesar Chavez Lane, Boise. $85 general, $25 Boise State University students (limited), $150 and $250 VIP. Ticketmaster.
