Boise’s Global Community Market features international items for the holidays
▪ Check out the wares at the Global Community Market, a temporary haven for the merchants who lost their business space when Boise International Market burned down in September. You’ll find a mix of international food, entertainment, art, clothing and gift items. It’s from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays, Dec. 5, 12 and 19, at Trailhead, 500 S. 8th St. Boise.
▪ Also check out the Boise Christmas Show at Expo Idaho, 5610 N. Glenwood St., Garden City. You’ll find a wide variety of gift items, entertainment and Santa Claus. Drop your letter to Santa in the Macy’s mailbox and the company will donate $1 to Make-a-Wish. It runs 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4; 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5; and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6. $5 general, $4 seniors, free for children 12 and younger. BoiseChristmasShow.com.
