Look: 'Trying' Season 5 gets first-look photos, July premiere date

April 29 (UPI) --Trying will return for a fifth season in July.

Apple TV shared a premiere date, July 8, and first-look photos for Season 5 on Wednesday.

Trying is a British comedy series starring Esther Smith and Rafe Spall as Nikki and Jason, a couple who spent the first three seasons trying to adopt siblings Princess (Scarlett Rayner) and Tyler (Cooper Turner).

Season 4 had a six-year time jump, and Season 5 will see Nikki and Jason navigate Princess and Tyler's biological mother, Kat (Charlotte Riley), "turning up at their doorstep, and the whirlwind of chaos she brings into their settled family life," according to a press release.

Other returning cast members include Darren Boyd, Sian Brooke, Celia Imrie, Phil Davis, Gbemisola Ikumelo and Colin Morgan.

Trying Season 5 is produced by BBC Studios and features a soundtrack by Orla Gartland.
